The CDU supports comprehensive provision of military servicemen’s religious needs and introducing of military chaplain positions. Yuriy Reshetnikov, member of the CDU Assembly, stated that during the panel discussion “Mechanisms of Introducing Concept of Pastoral Care in the Armed Forces of Ukraine” on July 26.

The event was organized by the Council of Pastoral Care under the Ministry of Defence. The panel discussion’s participants have defined the prior tasks in fulfillment of the Concept of Pastoral Care in the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved by the Ministry of Defence in April 2011 and set further steps in provision of military servicemen’s religious needs and introducing of military chaplain positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

The panel discussion hosted the First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff etc.
