The Christian Democratic Union Party’s Board calls upon all democratic political forces to put interests of consolidated Ukraine ahead their own ambitions, to commemorate the Conciliarism Day. That is stated in the Board’s statement, its press service reports.

“Unfortunately, in Ukraine, there still are the ones who dream only of absolute power or lives with somebody else’s heroes and ideals. At the same time, for every political force, regardless of its ideology, unity of the state and its citizens is to be the key value. Struggling for votes, speculation of the priorities is total inadmissible,” the CDU stresses.

“Ukraine should have obtained a united, strong, and constructive opposition able to criticize the authorities constructively and keep them in good shape, propose alternative projects, rather than argue who is “the boss”. That is the nature of a real patriot,” the statement reads.

“We are to think once more and realize that we are united. Whatever are some of our pages of history, Ukrainians have one Motherland. This is our land, and we will be living here. We are sure that all healthy forces of the society will finally unite for the important goal, the fair and transparent elections to the parliament. Future of our country depend on them,” the party believes.

“We want conciliar and united Ukraine to become an aim of every Ukrainian,” the Board’s members stressed. They congratulated all Ukrainians on the Conciliarism Day and wished everybody peace and accord.
