STATUTE
Of The Christian Democratic Union Party

 

1. GENERAL

1.1. The Christian Democratic Union Party (the short name is the CDU, Партія Християнсько-Демократичний Союз in Ukrainian), further – the Party, is a registered according to the law voluntary union of the citizens who act basing on humanistic, Christian principles on behalf of Ukrainian Nation and state, strengthens Christian, democratic values with its activity and has a goal of facilitation of forming and expressing of political will by citizens, participation in elections and other political events.

1.2. The Party conducts its activity according to the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine in force, this Statute, and the Party’s Program

1.3 The Party is acting basing on the principles of voluntariness, equality of rights, and mutual respect of its members, collective management, observing interparty democracy, self-governance, legality, and publicity.

1.4. The Party’s activity applies to the territory of Ukraine in full.

1.5. The Party has own symbols: the flag, the anthem, the emblem, and the motto approved by the Party’s Board.

1.6. The Party’s Central Statue Bodies are in Kyiv.

2. GOAL, TASKS, AND FORMS OF ACTIVITY

2.1. The goal of the Party’s activity is developing a jural, democratic, socially just, and ecologically safe society which bases on Christian values and morals.

2.1. The Party’s key tasks are:

  • Facilitation of forming and expressing of political will by citizens;
  • According to laws of Ukraine, participation - by means of elections - in forming of the state authorities of all levels and local self-government bodies, and representation in them;
